Maverick Helicopter Tours of Grand Canyon are a Hit!
Travels to Sedona and the Grand Canyon (2.5 hour drive from Sedona) are not complete without a tour of the canyon in a jet helicopter by Mavierick Helicopters. You can pick from two different tours and book online to guarrantee yourself a seat, especially during busy season. 
Tour #1: Your Canyon Spirit tour departs from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon taking you over the beautiful Kaibab National Forest, home to the world's largest Ponderosa Pine Forests. Upon reaching the edge of the canyon, the canyon rim gently drops away as the North Rim and eastern end of the canyon come into view - one of the most spectacular views in the entire canyon.
In the distance, it is possible to see the Painted Desert and the Desert View Watchtower designed by the Hopi Indians. Your journey continues as you follow the Colorado River upstream to its merging with the Little Colorado River.
View Marble Canyon and Point Imperial as you fly through the canyon and climb above the North Rim. Experience fabulous birds-eye views once on the North Rim, then head south through the Dragon Corridor, the widest and deepest part of the canyon.
As you cross over the Colorado River, you leave the Grand Canyon, flying over the South Rim and the Kaibab National Forest. Flight Time 45-50 Minutes
Tour #2: Your Canyon Dancer tour departs form the South Rim of the Grand canyon and takes you over the picturesque Kalibab National Forest, then you will fly north through the Dragon Corridor over the mighty Colorado River to the North Rim. heading back south through the Dragon Corridor, you will see the Tower of Ra, fly over the widest and deepest part of the canyon and view the Vishnu Schist, some of the oldest exposed layers of rock in the world. (Approximately 25-30 minutes)

In the February 10th edition of USA
Today in an article about the 10 most
romantic places to be kissed, a popular Sedona hiking location
was chosen.
The
article read: "The place for a kiss" in this redrock
country is "a rock spire that locals call Kachina Woman.
You can hike up to it in about two hours," the author
says, but "be careful," According to Native American
legend, "it's a fertility symbol."
The canyon is also known as a vortex, where supposedly "energy
comes together for a transporting effect. the light at dawn
